Dad
Dad wanted everyone to know that he had a very fun Halloween and dressed up as a cowboy!

Lori

Not much new this month. It just got really cold here in Indiana. We went from weeks of mid 70s to 30s in one day. This froze my garden and has made the leaves fall faster without fully changing. Halloween was uneventful. I didn't get any trick or treaters, but Bennie enjoyed dressing up anyway, while Princess still hasn't forgiven me for making her wear a hat for 2 minutes. Bennie is learning tricks so he can be a fun therapy cat, and can now shake hands/paws and is working on learning to high 5. I am working on getting in my 10,000 steps a day....I would welcome any challengers on Fitbit to keep me motivated! ;)

I was called to be a relief society teacher and taught last week. And I volunteered to do a relief society activity where we will make Christmas ornament in a few weeks. Hopefully I have more news for you next month.

I am losing my roommate at the end of the month, but just got a new one. Meet Nathan (pic below), he loves hanging out with me and we are getting along really well so far. He says hi and hopes he gets the chance to meet you all soon.

Colleen and EJ

This is what’s happening with the Fordham’s:

Reagan is now in preschool. She loves to snuggle, play with friends, and hang out with her big brothers. Her days are filled with spending time with her mom and making her smile. She dressed up as a princess for Halloween and now wants to put up the “Schristmas” tree.

Luke turned 8 this year and made the awesome decision to be baptized. He also became a cub scout this year. He is in 3rd grade and really loves school. He loves to read books and stays up late every night with his headlamp on to do so. He continues to practice the piano. He also loves sports where he played soccer and his first year of flag football. His smile is big enough to light up the whole world.

Corbin is preparing to receive the Aaronic Priesthood this month. He is in 6th grade, his last year of elementary school. He continues to stay active in several different extracurricular activities. He loves music in every way. He is a talented pianist and singer. He sang a solo in this year’s primary program. Right now, he is in the Farr West Elementary School Choir. Recently he took 1st place in his school’s Reflections Contest through a poem he wrote. He continues to love soccer and basketball. Last month he went on his first deer hunt and was lucky enough to see two deer being harvested. He did not love the blood or the idea that any animals would suffer. He said he would never eat meat again. That stance only lasted until dinner that night.

Colleen continues to work at IHC in North Ogden. First and foremost, she is an incredible wife and mother. She works hard at taking care of herself, her home, and her family. She struggles with the continuous pain in her ankle and foot. She just wants to be normal enough to walk without pain again. She continues to be an incredible support system to Eli while he finishes school. She misses her mom immensely. Recently, she was called to be a primary teacher in our ward. She loves the gospel and spending time with her mini me. She and Reagan have a very special relationship.

Eli started a new job with Geneva Rock this summer as a concrete sales rep. Right now he is up to his eyeballs in school trying to reach his goal of graduating from Weber State in 2018. He’s excited for the opportunities that school has afforded him and is excited about his career. Recently he was called to be the Assistant Scout Master. Although this calling doesn’t excite him, he is excited for the chance to work with Corbin in upcoming months.

Holly and Dan

Seriously, how has it been a month already!
We had a fun filled month of October, Hayden finished out his soccer season. His team only pulled off one win the entire season, but it has been so amazing seeing Hayden get better, run faster and take out a few kids! Hayden and Daniel got to fly to Utah for the deer hunt with Travis and my brother in law Ej. This is a good story to hear straight from the source. They boys had such a blast. Both Travis and Ej shot a deer. Hayden named Ej's deer Hector and teased Corbin(his traumatized cousin) about Hector's death the whole trip. We also had parent teacher conferences last week and apparently Haydens teacher loves Him! He was at the top of his class and doing awesome! Hayden dressed up as Messi for Halloween and had to stop by the house to drop off his loot to go out and get more.  He didn't eat one single piece of candy when he got home!

Hadleys soccer team finished the season with their one and only loss. They played an older and much bigger team but they held their own the whole game. Hadley has turned into quite the goalie this season. Hadley has been to two art classes this month, one with Kylee and they painted these gorgeous Cinderella's painting and another Decedents(Disney show) bday party where she painted their logo. She road the motorcycle by herself the other day and crashed.  She was so proud of herself that she didn't cry. She had a blast when the older boys were out of town, she and I love our girl time together!

Kylee dressed up as the same witch as last year for Halloween. Dan made his annual meatloaf zombie and she could not stomach it. Poor girl, I let her skip out on dinner because she was dry heaving as she was trying to eat it. Dan does make a pretty spooky meatloaf. It really did scare her.  She just kept covering her eyes and saying she couldn't even look at it. It was pretty funny, yet traumatizing for ky! Kylee begs to call grandma almost every night before bed on her cellphone(dans old phone he found.)

Jake got really sick last week and stayed up all night in our bed.  He was miserable and it made my heart so sad.  He kicked out of it quickly and two days later he was totally back to normal. He was in heaven with Quinn around for a few days. They were such good buddies! Jake and Quinn just wanted to swim or be outside the whole weekend. We were out chasing hot air balloons and Jake and Quinn would be off together throwing rocks in the corner.

I had an eventful month. I really enjoyed having Kari and her family around for a few days. Jason and Daniel installed a camera system for our house so I can hopefully catch Jake when he escapes the house! I loved seeing the cousins play together. When Dan and Hayden left for the hunt I took the younger kids to their school harvest fest which usually I hate because of the crowds but it was a lot quieter this year. The kids and I had a blast! We were having a party all weekend until I broke into hives Saturday night and by Sunday I was in miserable pain, but it was the primary program so even though I looked like a freak I went to church for the program. The medication they gave me took and few days to kick in and made me even more miserable. While my body had scrapes all over and my body was on fire the drugs made me swell and in 3 days I gained 12lbs!!!  I was a total mess. It took about a week to feel normal again and I have an appointment with an allergist to see if we can figure out what's going on. Halloween was a total blast! I decorated our courtyard and had my scary music, fog and lights for all the treat or treaters! We handed out our usually toothbrushes and I dressed up as a Zombie bride. I had a 5 year old boy tell me my house was total sick! Totally made my night! We had mummy dogs for lunch and our zombie meatloaf with brain mash potatoes for dinner with witches brew.  We went to our friends for homemade donuts and hot cocoa before they all went out together trick or treating. It was a total blast!  This last week I also got to go to Phoenix with my sister for a girls weekend which was definitely a blast!

Daniel had a lot of fun kicking it with Jason over balloon fiesta and putting braces on Abbi. He loved going hunting with the boys, so much that he has already starting planning next year. He didn't have so much fun helping Travis cut up his deer! He came home and had a hard time eating for a few days. I'm sure Daniel and Ej will have plenty of stories to tell in person over Christmas. It was a real memorable time for Daniel and Hayden.

Jamie and Mike

October was a busy month at the Horspool's. Gibson finished up soccer for the fall and has really enjoyed his team this year. He also received another fun Gingerbread package at school from the Rudd's with NM spicy chocolate. Gibson loved it. He got his first report card and received 4s on all the Personal and Social Responsibilities section. He makes his mommas heart so proud. Gibson was a pirate for Halloween and made out with a huge load of candy (just what this pregnant momma needs) still refused any face makeup for the celebration.
Jamie got to go on scholarship to a wonderful retreat called "Heart of a Woman" it was a beautiful experience and learned to see and except Heavenly Father more in her life. Also we went on a fun group date with friends to an escape room. Where we had to solve clues and puzzles to save the world. It was so much fun but we failed at the very end. I also entered into my third trimester! Woot woot! Life just keeps moving along for our little family. Love you all!
